Two Individuals Accused Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Assault
Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, police said.
A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt during the incident. Five people required hospital care and were subsequently released.
This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – led to train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
