The Initial Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Remains Committed.
Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a platform few have heard of. Platform-specific outlets have started writing about PlayStation for the first time. The past year represented an era of significant turmoil for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox remains determined to draw people in with compelling titles on its flagship service.
The Immediate Additions
The two games you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
On Jan. 13, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."
Compelling Indie Titles
But even the smaller games coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and you should try it regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Well-Rounded Collection
In summary, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. The lineup provides a solid mix of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they warranted upon launch — rendering them perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
