The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.
The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
