Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
An aircraft carrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the jet's front window, per an official announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The plane touched down following standard procedures and all passengers, such as Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson said in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the Belgian capital at the time.
This event isn't the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a top government figure has experienced mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a American military jet ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical fault.
